My World
My World is a Unity demonstration project for SoundTeG Ambisonic Decoder and SoundTeG Multichannel Output. It shows how to use the plug-ins with Unity and Wwise for real-time spatial audio playback through configurable multichannel loudspeaker layouts. The project also includes multiplayer functionality to demonstrate spatial audio in an interactive environment.
My World is a practical reference for developers, sound designers, and researchers working with the SoundTeG plug-ins in a Unity and Wwise workflow.
My World setup guide
1. Download both projects
Download both projects. Both are required for My World to work correctly.
Both GitHub repositories are currently private and will be made public soon.
My World Unity project
My World Wwise project
On each GitHub page, select Code → Download ZIP. Extract both ZIP files. Rename the extracted project folders to MyWorld and MyWorld_WwiseProject, then place the Wwise project inside the Unity project root as shown in Step 3.
2. Install the required software
- Unity 6000.4.3f1, installed through Unity Hub.
- Wwise 2025.1.11.9262, installed through the Wwise Launcher.
- SoundTeG Ambisonic Decoder and SoundTeG Multichannel Output, installed for that same Wwise version through the Wwise Launcher.
3. Place the Wwise project inside the Unity project root
Put the downloaded MyWorld_WwiseProject folder inside the MyWorld Unity project folder, at the same level as Assets, Packages, and ProjectSettings. Do not place it inside Assets.

├── Packages/
├── ProjectSettings/
└── MyWorld_WwiseProject/
└── MyWorld_WwiseProject.wproj
4. Generate the Wwise SoundBanks
Open MyWorld_WwiseProject.wproj in Wwise and generate the required SoundBanks. Wait for generation to finish successfully before running the Unity project.
5. Configure Photon Fusion
My World uses Photon Fusion for multiplayer functionality. In Unity, open Tools → Fusion → Realtime Settings and enter your App Id Fusion and App Id Voice.
If you need App IDs, follow the App ID setup section of the official Photon Fusion Getting Started guide.
6. Run My World
Open the MyWorld Unity project and allow Unity to finish importing and initializing it. Once the project has loaded, press Play to run the demonstration.
Important: keep the existing Wwise integration
The downloaded My World project already contains the required Wwise integration and SoundTeG plug-in files. Do not run the Wwise integration process again unless necessary. Re-running it through the Wwise Launcher may replace or remove required SoundTeG files, including platform-specific .dll, .bundle, .so, or .a files.
If that happens, download a fresh copy of the MyWorld Unity project and repeat the setup from Step 3.
Troubleshooting
Unity says the audio system is disabled
You may see: “Audio system is disabled, so AudioSettings.outputSampleRate cannot be queried. Please check the audio project settings.”
Open Edit → Project Settings → Audio and make sure Disable Unity Audio is unchecked. Then run the project again.
macOS says opus_egpv.bundle is damaged when enabling the microphone
You may see: “opus_egpv.bundle” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.
If you trust the downloaded My World project, open Terminal in the MyWorld Unity project root (the folder containing Assets) and run:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine "Assets/Photon/PhotonVoice/PhotonVoiceLibs/OSX/opus_egpv.bundle"
This removes the macOS quarantine attribute from that bundle only. Return to Unity and try enabling the microphone again.
My World builds
The Windows, macOS, and Android demonstrations are standalone builds of My World. They show the same project on different platforms.
